So we just watched the animated movie-- Waking Life-- and absolutely loved it. Seriously. It was so good, but occasionally somewhat mentally overwhelming ...Today I was not very productive sadly... Scott was away at a basketball game in London-- oh by the way did I already brag about the fact that he was asked to practice with the national team????----cool huh??-- and I was at the university doing research stuff and talking to a million people, from the family--such as to Alison, Kurt and Erika on msn and also to Ors from Hungary who is a really good friend of mine and used to teach me religion in high school and he is a catholic priest now ( works at the church wehre i was actually first baptized) and i havent talked to him forever, and got to talk to Erika, Kim, Justin and Annie as well... I miss people soo much! its hard without having our best friends around...

Scott visited mom and dad in Salzburg

Scott had so much fun with his parents! he loved spending time with them, meeting all the new people and eating lots of great food! he's hoping to take zsofi with him next time!

Zsofi visited Hungary

We love it that we get to be in Europe. Zsofi visited Hungary twice since living in England and Scott visited his parents who are on a mission in Salzburg, Austria. We are hoping to travel around a bit more this year.

Zsofi with mom and dad

and zsofi with new bangs.

Eating in England

So everyone knows that Scott and Zsofi love to eat. zsofi eats weird and scotts eats a lot. Even though the food is sometimes odd in England, we already found our favorites such as: fish and chips, curry fries, scott really enjoys meat pies and scotch egg (you don't want to know, its a meat covered, breaded hard boiled egg), and we both love biscuits and ginger drinks. Oh and I had to smuggle in the famous Bristol Suspension bridge that was designed by Brunel. We are not eating on that picture, but I'm pretty sure Scott has his pockets full of haribo gummy bears. :)

SCOTT THE STUDIOUS

In September, 2007, we moved to Bristol, England for Scott’s grad school. He is doing a Master’s course in International Relations at the prestigious University of Bristol. Scott is such a diligent student. He reads hundreds of pages of books that sound really boring to common mortal people. He is also the point guard on the university basketball team and plays soccer every week as well. Bristol is a great place, a really fun university city, amazing architecture and history. Sadly we are rubbish at taking pictures but we will try to be better at it. While Scott is studying hard, Zsofi is working full-time at the Bristol Royal Infirmary as an assistant nurse and also part time at the university as a research assistant for the psychophysics department. We love the mild weather and got used to the rain as much as we could. We had an English Christmas with all the traditional food, well all I can say is that that will never happen again in my house. Haha. But it was fun. Fun, not delicious. Here is where we live.it is in Clifton, a really posh part of Bristol. Its the second floor flat. As you can see it we own nothing, but it's sure easy to clean! My mom came to visit at Christmas, so she gets to be included in this show-and-tell of our new place.

Good Old days-this means home to us!

Our cute little house in Provo, Utah ( once in the winter, once in the spring time) and our street. OOOH i just can't get enough of those mountains. They are sooo pretty. We loved living here! down below: Zsofi with her Indiana family: Ron, Laurie, Alexander, Marlee, Michaela, Zach and Leia. She misses them sooo much and can't wait to see them again! They really are the best!
Next-The Philburns and us. Kim and Scott and Scott and I spent lots of time together. This time we were at Justin and Anna's wedding.

TRAVELLING USA

Scott and Zsofi in Las Vegas. We love the food and shopping there. They often have such great deals! Scott despises Vegas though, so it's always a treat for city girl zsofi when scott takes her to see the big lights..haha

Pensive Scott at the New York Knicks game,

And in Chacago. This is where we celebrated our second anniversary. We visited Scott's sister Julie and stayed with Annie, who lives downtown Chicago. It was soo much fun, but extremely cold.. thus my bag-lady outfit on the last picture. We literally put on everything we had with us!

Pictures from the great outdoors...

So I know that chronologically these pictures are not supposed to be here... and I'm gonna be the first to admit that I have no idea how to change the order of these things.. let alone correcting grammatical mistakes...
Everyone knows that I love nothing more than the great indoors..but I am willing to make some effort to change that! These pictures were taken in Idaho at Justin's cabin, then the last one in some canyon in the splendid Utah.
ps.: fishing and golfing are still not my thing.

More pictures from the summer

OKAY, okay, I did get a bit carried away with posting a million pictures... but what the heck.. im into this blog thing right now. it turns out that its kinda like scrapbooking... but a lot cheaper...

MOREGON

Portland was really cool but also a disappointment since everybody told uss how cool it would be. We went to Astoria though, which is on the coast and the Goonies and Kindergarten Cop were shot there... we actually saw the goonies house and also the school for K.Cop. the both meant a lot to scott and not much to zsofi

More oregon Pics

We had gone on a day trip to Mt. St. Helens- turns out scott is scared of vulcanos- and also got to see Mirah in concert with Alison and Brandon and ate lots of good food at the Portland farmer's market--in pouring rain-- We got to see THE BODY WORLDs EXHIBITION which zsofi has been dying to see
forever oh and on the last pic, you can see a bunch of the research interns. I know... we are all geeks...

Oregon

During the summer of 2007- what do you know, another eventful summer for us-?
We moved to Beaverton, OR, where Zsofi got to do a neuropsychology internship through OHSU with primates. While Zsofi was working hard on the research, Scott was working hard at Chilli’s as a waiter… we had more strawberry limeades than ever! Even though Zsofi smelled bad most of the time, Scott still loved her so that was nice. Oregon is beautiful and we got to go on amazing day trips, which we have tried to document.

Our first married winter

Some random pictures, including a nativity tradition from scott's family, our first Christmas, first new years, first apartment and hmmm third snow tubing
